It looks like Conor McGregor can never rid Khabib Nurmagomedov of his mind. The pair were a part of one of the most heated rivalries in modern sporting history. The rivalry overflowed outside the court as well. Who can forget the nasty post-fight brawl after the conclusion of UFC 229?
Times have changed. Khabib Nurmagomedov is retired now, he bowed out in October 2020 with a record of 29 wins and no losses. ‘The Eagle’ has been travelling around the world since then. He is now an MMA promoter (Eagle Fighting Championship is his), an MMA Coach and whatnot.
More recently, Khabib was at Old Trafford to witness Manchester United take on Everton in an important EPL fixture. Manchester United welcomed Khabib, presenting him with a customised jersey bearing his name with the number 7. Just moments after news of Khabib’s presence at Old Trafford became news, Conor McGregor took to his Instagram to post a photo of himself in a vintage Manchester United jersey.
“The Whiskey King” – Conor McGregor on Instagram following Khabib Nurmagomedov OT visit
McGregor captioned his post: “The Whiskey King. Wishing you all a happy Saturday.”
‘The Notorious’ is currently recovering from the ankle injury he suffered during his trilogy fight against Dustin Poirier which ended in a defeat for him, at UFC 264. The Irishman is expected to be back in January, next year. A fight against Nate Diaz might be a possibility.
Khabib Nurmagomedov gutted to find Cristiano Ronaldo on the bench

Following a packed footballing schedule, Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer had decided to start Cristiano Ronaldo on the bench. Anthony Martial took up Ronaldo’s place in the starting XI. It was just the wrong day, ‘The Eagle’ had decided to visit Old Trafford.
Upon learning that Ronaldo would be starting on the bench, Khabib expressed his disappointment but pacified himself since he knew that CR7 would come on in, during the second half (which he did). The match ended in a disappointing draw for Manchester United.
