Conor McGregor and Deontay Wilder vs Tyson Fury

Conor McGregor made his opinion known about the recently concluded boxing fight between Tyson Fury and Deontay Wilder. The two heavyweights squared off in a trilogy bout that saw Fury defend his WBC and The Ring heavyweight titles successfully. With that win, Fury sealed the deal in his rivalry with the ‘Bronze Bomber.’

UFC lightweight Conor McGregor gave his verdict on the fight. He was impressed by the heart shown by both the fighters, especially Deontay Wilder, while also pointing out the massive weight difference between ‘The Gypsy King’ and the man from Tuscaloosa.

The first four rounds were entertaining on a whole other level. Fury scored a knockdown in round 3. Wilder followed it up with 2 knockdowns in round number 4. The way the scales kept tilting was insane. However, Fury picked up steam after round 8, and knocked Wilder out in R11.

“Great fight that” – Conor McGregor on Tyson Fury vs Deontay Wilder

Conor McGregor wrote, “Great fight that. Both warriors, both winners. Hard to not be impressed with Deontay there. Against the much larger man and almost got it done. Great fight. 40lb’s in weight difference is A LOT. Fair play both men there, very enjoyable fights they have had together. Respect.

It is now most probably Oleksandr Usyk for Fury. The Ukrainian has the remaining belts that Fury needs, to become the undisputed heavyweight champion of the world. Besides this, Usyk is coming off a massive win over fan-favourite Anthony Joshua.
