Curtis Blaydes is coming off a disappointing knockout loss against Derrick Lewis, in February 2020. Prior to that, he had been on an unbelievable four-match win streak, which included wins over Junior dos Santos and Alexander Volkov. Had he beaten Lewis, he would have probably been challenging Francis Ngannou in a rematch, for the heavyweight title.

Rozenstruik, on the other hand, is coming off a stunning knockout win over Augusto Sakai, as recently as the 5th of June, earlier this year. The Surinamese has suffered a rough patch of late, following his loss against Ngannou and Ciryl Gane in a space of three fights.

A win here for either, would propel them further higher up in the heavyweight rankings, and probably move them another step closer to the heavyweight title shot. However, it is tough seeing the pair face off against Ngannou, since The Cameroonian has brutally demolished both of them.

Ngannou has beaten Blaydes twice, both via. knockout. And in 2020, Ngannou took just 26 seconds to knockout Rozenstruik, handing him his first-ever defeat.
