“If you’re already booked, why argue?” Dan Hooker doesn’t understand the logic of Arman Tsarukyan calling him out for a fight

Dan Hooker and Arman Tsarukyan

Dan Hooker is a long-time lightweight contender, “The Hangman” was involved in some of the most gruesome fights in the history of the lightweight division, and his recent loss against Michael Chandler isn’t stopping him from chasing his dream of becoming the UFC champion.

Hooker was actively searching for an opponent ever since he lost against Chandler, and he got involved in a verbal spat against the Russian Arman Tsarukyan. The duo exchanged some heated words against each other, both challenged each other for the fight, only to find out Tsarukyan already had a fight booked for UFC Vegas 37.

Hooker thought it was extremely stupid of Tsarukyan to call him out for a fight, when he knew, he was booked to face someone, he appeared in an interview with Submission Radio, where he was asked why Tsarukyan would do it, Hooker said, Because he’s a dumbass. I argue exclusively for a physical confrontation. If you ever see me standing across from someone arguing with them, it’s for one reason and one reason only, for physical confrontation. This dumbass picks an argument with me.”

He added, “We got all the way to the end of the argument, and then I find out a week later that he’s already got a fight. If you’re already booked, why argue? Why try to challenge me when I’m looking for a fight and you have a fight?”

Arman claimed that Hooker was scared to accept the fight with him, and Hooker stated that this guy is nothing but delusional, “The kid’s got shit for brains,” Hooker continued.

“That’s all I have to say about that. Can anyone can put a hand on their heart and tell me that I’m scared of Arman whatever his name is? I’ve never even seen the kid fight before. I would walk right through him. You’re kidding yourself; you’re kidding yourself. If he truly believes that, he’s a living in a delusion.”
