“Guess we will see if Armans balls are as big as his mouth” – With fight against Nasrat Haqparast in doubt, Dan Hooker calls out Arman Tsarukyan
Dan Hooker and Arman Tsarukyan
Dan Hooker vs Nasrat Haqparast at UFC 266 might be in jeopardy although UFC boss Dana White believes that the fight will go ahead. First, it was Hooker, who had VISA issues. But, the ‘Hangman’ sorted his issues out at the last moment. Now Nasrat Haqparast is the one having VISA troubles, after failing to get the approval.
The fight, happening or not, has momentarily shifted Hooker’s attention towards another surging lightweight in Arman Tsarukyan. The Russian lightweight earned a TKO win over Christos Giagos in the very first round of his fight at UFC Fight Night: Smith vs Spann.
Following his victory, the number 13 ranked lightweight called out Dan Hooker. Hooker has now responded to Tsarukyan’s callout with a cheeky New Zealander-esque post.
Dan Hooker will be wary of Arman Tsarukyan being on four-fight winning streak
“Guess we will see if Armans balls are as big as his mouth….“, Hooker tweeted.
The Kiwi is coming off back-to-back losses for the first time in his career. He last fought UFC-newcomer Michael Chandler at UFC 257, and was knocked out in the very first round. Prior to that, he had faced Dustin Poirier in an absolute war that ended in a unanimous decision win for the ‘Diamond.’
Tsarukyan, on the other hand, is on a four-fight winning streak. He made his UFC debut a couple of years ago, against Islam Makhachev and suffered a unanimous decision loss against the Russian. Since then, Tsarukyan has eased past all of his opponents. But can he do it against the seasoned Dan Hooker?
