Dana White is interested in putting up Jorge Masvidal’s ‘BMF’ title on the line against Colby Covington at UFC 272
Dana White and Jorge Masvidal
Jorge Masvidal is going to face his former best friend, Colby Covington at the main event of UFC 272. These two used to train and live together, and they stood beside each other in their journey. After a series of unfortunate events, their friendship went to the trash, and now they can’t wait to knock each others’ heads off inside the octagon.
Both of them are massive superstars, and fans can’t wait to watch them in action. Masvidal became an internet sensation with his unbelievable flying knee knockout of Ben Askren. UFC veteran, an OG of the fight game, Nate Diaz took notice of this and called him out for a fight. Nate proposed a BMF (Baddest Motherfu**r) belt for the winner of this fight, and UFC liked the idea.
They introduced the belt, and Hollywood star, The Rock came in the octagon to wrap the belt around the winners’ waist. Masvidal brutalized Diaz, and the fight had to be stopped after he sustained a dangerous cut over his eye. Masvidal walked away with the belt, and certainly enjoyed the limelight that came with it.
Dana White would love to see Jorge Masvidal put his BMF belt on the line against Colby Covington
Masvidal loves his belt, and he never puts it up on the line. He faced Kamaru Usman twice, and he asked him to present him with the belt after he knocked him out cold. Masvidal brushed off the comment, and now Dana White discussed this in his recent interview.
Pat McAfee in his interview said, “We went to the Baddest Motherfu*r championship when The Rock came out in The Madison Square I think, he cut the entire promo. When you think about grander marketing things like that, like the BMF belt, should that not be on the line? Do you not think that should be on the line?”
Dana answered the question, and said, “We did the BMF title as a one-time thing, it was fun that we did it. But yeah, you’re right I probably should make that belt on the line when there isn’t a world title on the line. Because Masvidal has it.”
