Will Smith slapped Chris Rock at 94th Academy Awards after he passed a joke about his wife, Jada Smith. Rock was hosting the event, and he was making jokes about everyone in the audience. He then targeted Jada Pinkett Smith, he said, “Javier Bardem and his wife are both nominated. Now, if she loses, he can’t win. He is praying that Will Smith wins, like, please, lord. Jada, I love you. ‘G.I. Jane 2,’ can’t wait to see it, all right?”
Jada is suffering from Alopecia Areata. In alopecia areata, the immune system mistakenly attacks hair follicles, causing inflammation. Researchers do not fully understand what causes the immune attack on hair follicles, but they believe that both genetic and environmental (non-genetic) factors play a role. (H/T NDTV.com)
Many criticised Will for this move, but UFC’s president, Dana White thoroughly enjoyed the show. He took to Twitter to share his response, he wrote, “FINALLY!!!!! there’s an Oscar show worth watching. AND Chris Rock chin.”

Former UFC light heavyweight champion, Jon Jones also watched this went down as this happened, and he was pumped up by the incident. He took to Twitter to react to this situation, and here are his Tweets. “Anyone watching the Oscars? Will Smith is a gangster for that one, Chris rock was the ultimate professional for the way he continued.”
Someone pointed out the incident was fake, and Jones wrote, “I need to watch that back, looked pretty real to me.”
Will shares a complicated relationship with Jada, and this outburst could’ve been the result of all that stress. He apologized to everyone in the audience while accepting the award for the best actor. He didn’t mentioned Chris Rock, but it was an emotional moment for sure.
