After receiving his treatment, Francis walks back to his car on his crutches and says, “One day at a time. One step at a time, not even a day.” Ngannou’s injury comes to play at a very interesting time as the fighter has been in dispute with the promotion over his contract. Ngannou is adamant that he won’t fight under the UFC unless he gets a contract with revisions.

Francis became the champion in 2021 when he beat the former champ, Stipe Miocic at UFC 260 via a devastating knockout. Ngannou is undoubtedly the scariest man to face in the octagon. If Francis does come to an agreement with the UFC, we would most likely see him take on one of the greats, Jon Jones. This is a fight that everyone is looking forward to.

Francis has also revealed his interest to take on Tyson Fury in the boxing ring, to which the Gypsy King has also shown his interest. What do you think Ngannou’s next move will be?
