Mike Tyson vs. Jake Paul continues to garner a lot of criticism and backlash ever since it was announced. Tyson is regarded as a legendary heavyweight boxer, as such, fans do not want to witness him lose against the young boxer. Now that the loss will reflect on his illustrious career, it only makes matters worse. As such, UFC Hall of Famer, Michael Bisping shares his opinion on the controversial fight.

Bisping’s recent comments on the fight and the stakes for both Paul and Tyson have been quite candid. He believes that there’s no way ‘The Problem Child’ can walk away from the fight as a legitimate winner. This is because he has a significant advantage in terms of his age, agility, and endurance. Hence, if he loses, the combat sports world will troll and ridicule him for losing against a 58-year-old. However, Bisping believes that Paul won’t gain anything from winning either.

If Jake Paul knocks out a 58-year-old man, that’s called elderly abuse. You know what I mean? You can’t win here other than a lot of money.

Hence, beyond securing a huge paycheck from Netflix, the fight offers nothing to Paul or his boxing career. After discussing the potential result of the match, Bisping claimed that the bout wasn’t a real professional fight. This is because the fight will reflect on their professional records, but the matchup and the rules don’t make sense.

The promoter mentioned how he does like Paul, unlike most of the boxing industry. As such, he believes that the celebrity boxer has had a positive impact on the sport. However, De La Hoya feels like Paul is deviating from his actual plan since he has announced that he wishes to be a world champion one day.

Hence, De La Hoya stated that this fight does not reflect his seriousness towards the sport. He also urged Paul to fight world title contenders and emerge in the rankings.
