“Henry really surprised him a lot”- The Korean Zombie is amazed by Henry Cejudo’s training methods

The Korean Zombie on Henry Cejudo
The Korean Zombie, Chan Sung Jung is getting his second shot at the undisputed title at the main event of UFC 273. He will face the reigning featherweight champ, Alexander Volkanovski, and he is doing everything in his power to prepare for this fight.
TKZ’s first title shot came in against the legend, Jose Aldo back at UFC 163. He stepped in as a late replacement for that fight, and Aldo picked up an easy win. Surprisingly enough, this second chance also came up at a short notice, as the former challenger, Max Holloway had to pull out from this fight because of an injury.
TKZ appeared in an interview with Ariel Helwani at The MMA Hour, and he talked about that fight against Jose Aldo, his manager translated for him, and he stated, “Nine years ago, nobody could beat Jose Aldo. Nobody even thought about beating him, nobody entertained that. And he’s so happy he was fortunate enough to fight him, because he has the experience now to actually step up and win a title shot.”
“He’s a huge part of this camp“- The Korean Zombie is enjoying Henry Cejudo’s presence in the training camp

TKZ is training with Henry Cejudo at Fight Ready. Cejudo is a ‘champ-champ’ and he’s worked with a bunch of former champions in the past, he is helping Jon Jones prepare for his heavyweight debut, and he helped Deiveson Figueiredo reclaim his title. TKZ is really enjoying this camp, and he was surprised by Cejudo’s training methods.
“Henry really surprised him a lot, because we’ve seen him a lot in camp and stuff like that, but Zombie got the title shot and he’s been helping out so much,” said TKZ. “He’s been at every practice, every team meeting that we have for Zombie. He’s actually doing sparring rounds, playing around with him, so he’s super grateful.”
He added, “He didn’t realize he was so intelligent, fight-IQ-wise and everything else. Like when you see him on TV, he’s cringey and all that, but off camera he’s telling what to do, he’s wrestling, coaching him as he play spars and stuff like that. So he’s a huge part of this camp.”
