Ilia Topuria is not competing this Saturday against Charles Jourdain due to medical reasons. UFC 270 took another hit as one of the most anticipated fights apart from the main event and the co-main event is off.
Ilia Topuria, the featherweight prospect is out of his fight against Charles Jourdain first reported by Gonzalo Campos. This comes up just before the official weigh-in for UFC 270. With the time being of the essence, a new opponent for Jourdain is not realistic, though he made weight. Jourdain had taken this fight on short notice.
Topuria was initially slated to face Movsar Evloev, who is an undefeated fighter from Russia with an impressive record of 15-0. Topuria himself is 11-0 and the original bout was seen as the clash of two of the best prospect at the featherweight division. After Evloev pulled out from the fight Topuria had some things to say about his opponent.

With Ilia Topuria out and other several cancellations, UFC 270 undercard is looking underwhelming
UFC 270 is headlined by one of the most anticipated fights in UFC HW history and the co-main event is a trilogy fight between two of the best flyweights in the world but other than that the main card is not over the moon. Also in the prelims, the bout cancellations and rescheduling made it one of the weakest cards in recent memory.
Ilia Topuria had his opponent pulled out and then he pulled out against his opponent. Topuria has now two brilliant matchups waiting for him in Movsar Evloev and Charles Jourdain. UFC can go no wrong in matching these three with any combination.
