Conor McGregor‘s comeback fight against Michael Chandler is truly the most anticipated fight of the year 2024. With over a year’s worth of build-up, the UFC has finally announced the date for the bout. However, UFC Hall of Famer, Daniel Cormier isn’t so sure about it. 

Daniel Cormier recently talked with former UFC fighter Ben Askren on his YouTube channel. During the conversation, the pair talked about the much-awaited fight between Conor McGregor and Michael Chandler. DC gave an insider scoop about the UFC having no official contract for the fight to happen at UFC 303.

Then I heard something that said the contract is still not signed. They say there's no deal in place but we are hoping it's June 29th.

Askren joined in the discussion and pointed out that a lot can happen in between the planned dates. The fighter discussed possible disasters that could occur. Askren claimed that fans can only be positive about this kind of fight when the fighters are already inside the octagon without any hiccups.

Dana White made the announcement of the fight right after the historic UFC 300. The fight event is scheduled to take place at the T-Mobile Arena on June 29th. Irrespective of any contract, both McGregor and Chandler have publicly talked about it and have already started their training camp.

As UFC 303 is getting closer, Michael Chandler has now shown his intentions to shut down Conor McGregor inside the octagon. The fighter plans to get an early stoppage within the first two rounds of the much-anticipated fight.

Chandler shared a video on his YouTube channel where he talked about the significance of the fight and how monumental it can be for the promotion. The fighter then claimed that he would destroy and force McGregor to retire.

Despite both Chandler and McGregor coming off losses in their last UFC bouts, Chandler is widely considered the favorite to get a win at UFC 303. While many die-hard McGregor fans may hold a different opinion, Chandler has confidence in his chances to secure the win.
