‘F*** Dana White’ – Jake Paul tears into UFC President Dana White regarding the fighters’ pay issue

Jake Paul about pay issue at UFC

Jake Paul has been scheduled to fight Tyron Woodley on the 28th of August. The YouTube sensation will be taking on the former UFC welterweight champion in his fourth professional boxing bout. The fight marks the pro-boxing debut of T-Wood. And, The Problem Child has now brought up the pay issue surrounding the UFC.

In a video posted by former UFC fighter Jimi Manuwa, Jake Paul can be seen addressing a crowd tearing into UFC President Dana White for paying the fighters less. He wanted the Jon Jones vs Francis Ngannou fight to go ahead, and questioned White about the future of people like Chris Weidman (recently snapped his leg in two) who almost had a life-threatening injury.

‘They’re the ones getting in the ring, risking their lives’ – Jake Paul

Paul can be seen saying, “There’s a movement, moving forward that is gonna show that fighters should be getting paid more. It’s unfair. The UFC fighters don’t have fair pay. Out of all the sports, the percentage that the owners get versus the athlete, they’re the lowest. Francis Ngannou vs. Jon Jones, that fight should happen. Dana White, pay them the $10 million. He’s taking their money. They’re the ones making the content. They’re the ones getting in the ring, risking their life.” [via MMA Fighting]

Speaking about the fate of Chris Weidman, Paul said, “Chris Weidman goes in, snaps his leg in half. What’s that look like? He might never be able to fight again and provide food for his family. These fighters are risking their lives. You can quite literally die in the ring and they need to be compensated more. I’m a big proponent of that movement and being in control. It’s just like music labels, same thing. These artists are getting owned and they get locked up into these s**tty contracts and they don’t know what to do.“[via MMA Fighting]

Paul concluded, “So f**k that sh*t. F**k Dana White.”

Is Jake Paul trying to gain the support of the UFC faithful?

Jake Paul has been very vocal about the UFC fighters’ pay dispute. He has openly blasted UFC President Dana White for underpaying his fighters, and always brags about giving his opponent their biggest payday whenever they face him.

Going by the look of things, is Paul trying to gain the support of the MMA world, after all the ruckus he has caused within the community in the recent past? He has earned the wrath of a plethora of fighters and fans from the MMA world after his distasteful and disrespectful callouts.
