Jeremy Stephens wants to reignite his beef with Conor McGregor from UFC 205.
Jeremy Stephens and Conor McGregor, though never really came close to fighting each other, are a part of one of the most viewed moments in UFC history. In the press conference of UFC 205, both the fighters shared the same stage and were part of the famous, “Who the fook is that guy?” line. Since then Jeremy has received his fair share of attention around the world.
This event happened in 2015 and now 6 years later, Stephens believes that a fight between the two makes the most sense right now. A lot has happened since that highlight moment, McGregor won the second title in his career and is now recovering from his broken Tibia from the UFC 264 main event fight against Dustin Poirier. Earlier today, Stephens put out a tweet that calls from a matchup between the two.
Jeremy Stephens believes Conor McGregor and have a lot in common
“Just thinking… the true fight to make is me and Connor. He broke his ankle, someone dove for my ankle. We both like to fight and keep it standing. Both power both different. Plus I like to calve kick and have a wide range of KO’s,” wrote Jeremy on his Twitter account earlier today.
Stephens now has the most losses in the UFC history recording a total of 19 defeats after his past weekend loss against Mateusz Gamrot at UFC Vegas 31. “Lil’ Heathen” has not won a fight in his last 6 bouts. Meanwhile, Conor is coming off a TKO loss via Dustin in his big trilogy fight. It is clear that the Irishman won’t be back anytime soon given his injury.
