The former UFC Light Heavyweight title challenger Thiago Santos snapped his three-fight losing streak with a win against Johnny Walker in the main event of UFC Vegas 38. Santos secured a unanimous decision win against Walker and now he is eying for his second title run.

UFC Light Heavyweight champion, Jan Blachowicz is booked to defend his title against Glover Teixeira in the main event of UFC 267. In the UFC Vegas 38’s post-fight press conference, Thiago Santos says, “I want the champion,”

“I think I deserve Top 5, one more fight and I think if I win the fight I can go to the title shot again. I think I deserve that. I had a fight against the No. 10, I want a Top 5 who can bring me to the title shot again.”

The number 2nd ranked Light Heavyweight fighter, Jiri Prochazka is next in line for the title shot and he is expected to face the winner of Blachowicz vs Teixeira, but if Prochazka doesn’t want to wait for so long, Thiago Santos is ready to share the Octagon with him.

Santos added, “Jiri Prochazka, if he doesn’t want to wait for title fight – I’m here, I can fight against him. He’s a good fighter, all respect to him, but I watch his fights. He thinks his chin is strong, but it’s because he didn’t fight against ‘The Hammer.’ If he wants to try to test his chin, I’m here. I’m here.”

Jiri Prochazka is on a twelve-fight win streak in his MMA career and he earned the title shot by securing the latest win against former title challenger, Dominick Reyes and he wants to keep it the same way and wait for the title fight.

After Santos calling him out, Prochazka shoots down the fight offer with his tweet which says, “Thiago Santos, thank you for the offer, but right now I’m preparing for Blachowicz or Teixeira, which you know them very well.”
