“Stop breeding,” Joe Rogan ponders how AI can cause human extinction

Comedian and UFC commentator Joe Rogan is the host of Joe Rogan Experience. It is one of the most viewed podcasts in the world. The acclaimed comedian hosts a wide variety of guests on the podcast. One of the recent guests on the podcast was Dr. Debra Soh.
Dr. Soh is a sex neuroscientist. One of the topics of discussion was none other than Artificial Intelligence as such, Rogan pondered what AI could do to exterminate human beings. This is what he said about it.
We're going to stop breeding. I mean, maybe that's the AI's plan. It's to not exterminate the human race but to give them options so they just completely stop reproducing. Make the options far more attractive, and in a way, we've kind of done that with video games.Joe Rogan via JRE
Rogan is a close friend of tech billionaire Elon Musk, and he has more than enough knowledge of what AI can do. UFC middleweight Bo Nickal was a recent guest on JRE and he even talked about formulating game plans with AI. Nickal then remarked that in the future, AI would be used by most fighters and would be an integral part of the training camp.
Dr. Soh is from Canada, and Rogan hates Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau due to his policies. As such, he won’t be in the commentary booth at UFC 297 at the Scotiabank Arena. Sean Strickland and Dricus Du Plessis headline the PPV.
Joe Rogan’s biggest concern about human beings
Joe Rogan considers himself a humanist. In his recent podcast episode with Dr. Debra Soh, Rogan shared his concern for the future of human beings. It was due to the technological advancements in recent times. Rogan finds technology advancing at an exponential rate.
On the podcast, Soh asked Rogan about his thoughts about AI and its growth. Rogan answered the question and also revealed his biggest concern to Soh. This is what Rogan said about his biggest concern.
My concern, let me say that, is that we're going to go extinct like that. We're going to be replaced by an artificial life form, and I think that is probably what we do.
Rogan cited the movie Ex-Machina as an example of what the future looks like. Rogan remarked that the humanoid robot portrayed by Alicia Vikander is a sex robot that is capable of manipulation and such a future is not long away for the present generation.
