Jorge Masvidal has interesting options on the table and the Miami fighter has his doors open for all of them.

Jorge Masvidal and Leon Edwards were scheduled to fight in a much-anticipated bout at UFC 269. The two welterweights have a rough past and were targeted to settle their dispute inside the octagon. Unfortunately, Masvidal was pulled out of the fight due to an injury.

“Gamebred” is still open to fighting Leon in March, but the British-Jamaican has made it clear that his next fight would be for the title against Kamaru Usman. Masvidal is not too bothered by this and will rather take on his long-time foe Colby Covington, in what would be one of the greatest grudge fights in the history of the sport.

In the recent episode of MMA Hour hosted by Ariel Helwani, Masvidal said, “If [Leon] says no, then I’m going to pass, then Colby’s b*tch ass it is.” Colby is also coming off a title shot against Usman and is open to fighting “Street Judas” Masvidal. The fans have also proposed an idea for the next season of The Ultimate Fighter with Colby and Jorge as coaches.

Jorge Masvidal wants to bounce back from his recent losses

Masvidal is coming off two straight losses for the first time in his career. The fighter has lost back to back against the champion of the welterweight division, Kamaru Usman in two years. The last loss against Usman was by a devastating knockout and Jorge is looking to avenge his losses.

The only way Jorge is going to be able to put himself in a position to fight Kamaru is if he manages to beat some of the top fighters. Both Leon and Colby are good matchups for the fighter from Miami so he wants to be fully fit before he steps into the octagon. March of 2022 is what Masvidal finds ideal as of now.

“First time I’m coming off two losses. I have to make sure I go in there healthy and well to give him my all. If he wants to wait until February or March, I can decapitate him on site for the world to see. If he doesn’t, what can I do? We will meet eventually,” said Masvidal on fighting Leon.

Who would you rather see Masvidal fighting? Colby Covington or Leon Edwards?
