“I was heartbroken”- Kayla Harrison rues her ‘friend and teammate’ Amanda Nunes’ loss at UFC 269

Amanda Nunes and Kayla Harrison
Kayla Harrison sat down for an interview with TMZ Sports and offered her sympathy to her training partner Amanda Nunes asking her to relax with her family and then get back at it. Harrison said that she was heartbroken for her loss but has that surety that Nunes would beat Pena nine times out of ten.
We can agree with what Kayla Harrison had to say as the outcome of Amanda Nunes vs Julianna Pena was a very unexpected one with the fight making history after becoming the 4th biggest betting upset in UFC history.
“Yeah, I mean I was heartbroken obviously for my teammate and my friend, you know I have a lot of respect for Amanda, I helped her train, I’ve trained with her, she’s helped me you know we are teammates. I would consider her a friend so first and foremost I was heartbroken for her,” said Harrison in her interview with TMZ Sports. “I still think that if they fought ten times nine times out of ten Amanda starches her. You know but sometimes it’s just not your night. No matter what you do, no matter how hard you prepare, no matter how good you feel or how confident you are sometimes things just don’t go your way and that’s the craziness of this sport, that’s the brutality of it.”
