Dominance MMA manager Ali Abdelaziz has clarified that Khabib Nurmagomedov and Khamzat Chimaev are no longer beefing.

UFC’s rising welterweight fighter from Chechnya, Khamzat Chimaev recently had some fighting words towards his countryman Khabib Nurmagomedov. When a reporter asked him if he could fight Khabib, Chimaev gave a rather bold and cocky answer which resulted in some tension between the Dagestani and Chechnya fighter.

Recently in an interview, Ali Abdelaziz, who manages Nurmagomedov clarified that the Khamzat and Khabib are cool now as the 27-year-old welterweight apologized to the former lightweight champion. Ali spoke to Aaron Bronsteter and said that they were all brothers.

“We’re all brothers. We’re all Muslim brothers here. We all come from the same bloodline. And at the end of the day, Khamzat, he’s young. He’s new to the sport. He’s a good kid, man. He’s a good guy. I know Khamzat very well and at the end of the day a lot of people took an insult to it,” said Abdelaziz to Aaron from TSN.

“It took him [Khamzat] three months to apologize about it. I respect him so much because fighters have so much ego. But he was gonna do the right thing. Khabib is like an older brother to him. We all have this kind of ranking among us. And he came out and he right the wrong.”
