Khamzat Chimaev is undoubtedly a phenomenon in the UFC and the fans are more than excited to see the rising welterweight inside the octagon. The fighter has called out fighters in the roster, left, right, and center but most dreading to fight the “Borz”. UFC President Dana White confirmed recently that no one wants to fight Chimaev and long-time UFC fighter Neil Magny took that personally.
Magny, who is ranked #7 in the welterweight division has been calling out the fighter from Chechnya, since his debut in 2020. Neil and Khamzat have gone back and forth several times in the past but a recent encounter on Twitter might lead to a possible matchup between the two fighters.
When MMA Junkie posted a tweet about the UFC boss Dana White saying nobody wanted to fight Chimaev, Neil responded on Twitter by hinting, “I know a guy who is ready!” Chimaev, who is known to be very hostile with his words, spared no mercy and warned Magny that he is coming for him.
Khamzat Chimaev is coming for Neil Magny
Neil is currently ranked at #7 while Chimaev is ranked #11. Neil might be the perfect option for Chimaev to help him get to the top rankings. Neil Magny also said he will take on Khamzat any day of the week. Given how both the fighters are open to take on each other, UFC’s matchmakers don’t have to stress too much about finding the superstar an opponent.
After Neil said he will take on Chimaev. The undefeated fighter wrote back saying, “I come for you, get ready skinny boy.” When Chimaev speaks fighting words, we have seen his fellow colleagues take the back seat and not respond, but Neil did not shy away from letting him no he is waiting to take him on in the octagon.
“I’ve been ready!” wrote Magny to Chimaev, hyping the fans up for this potential matchup. Neil is coming off a win against Geoff Neal in 2021. While Khamzat is coming off a ecstatic win against Li Jingliang at UFC 267. Would you like to see Neil take on Khamzat?
