Ahead of UFC Vegas 38, Kyle Daukaus reveals Kevin Holland’s weakness

Kyle Daukaus and Kevin Holland
Kyle Daukaus faces the eccentric Kevin Holland in a crucial middleweight contest in the co-main event of the upcoming UFC Vegas 38. A win against Holland would give Daukaus the chance to probably break into the top 15 of the middleweight division. This will be Daukaus’ second fight in 2021.
With the fight only a day away, Kyle Daukaus recently spoke to the reporters during the UFC Vegas 38 media day. He revealed what he thought Kevin Holland’s weakness was. Daukaus went on to state that Holland’s wrestling was not as bad as the media or MMA community portrayed it to be. The weakness Daukaus mentioned was Holland’s cage defense.
“I think he is a lot better than people think he is” – Kyle Daukaus on Kevin Holland
Kyle Daukaus was quoted as saying, “A lot of people think he has terrible wrestling defense and all this stuff, but I think he’s good. I think he’s decent. I think he struggles at one thing, and it’s cage defense, and I’m going to take advantage of that in this fight. I just think the fans go too hard and go at him too bad. I think he’s a lot better than people think he is.” [via MMA Junkie]
Daukaus is coming off a unanimous decision loss against Phil Hawes at UFC Fight Night: Rodriguez vs Waterson. The last three fights of Daukaus have seen him win only once, a unanimous decision win over Dustin Stoltzfus at UFC 255. He will be looking forward to getting back to winning ways.
Holland, on the other hand, had an unbelievable 2020 – winning all five fights he took part in. However, 2021 has looked glum for ‘The Trailblazer’. He was outwrestled in the two fights he took part in 2021. First he lost to Marvin Vettori, and then to Derek Brunson.
