The number 5th ranked UFC Middleweight fighter and former title challenger, Marvin Vettori secured a spectacular victory against the number 2nd ranked Middleweight fighter, Paulo Costa at the main event of UFC Vegas 41.

This fight week witnessed a lot more drama apart from fighting itself. Costa appeared on the fight week heavily overweighed and this fight was originally scheduled at Middleweight. But due to all this weight cut issue by Paulo Costa, this fight got finalized at the Light Heavyweight limit.

Marvin Vettori and Paulo Costa go toe to toe against each other for five rounds and in the end, it was ‘The Italian Dream’ whose hand got raised at the end of this fight. Costa landed some really heavy shots on Vettori throughout the fight but he ate them all and keep moving forward and picking him apart.

In the last round of the fight, Paulo Costa unleashed a fury of shots on Marvin Vettori but he still managed to secure a unanimous decision win in this one. This resulted in a second consecutive loss for Paulo Costa, after being undefeated for 13 fights.

Vettori landed some heavy blows on Costa in the UFC Vegas 41 post-fight press conference and he shared a video on Twitter mocking him further.

‘The Eraser’ Paulo Costa faced the first loss of his MMA career against Israel Adesanya at the main event of UFC 253. Before this fight, he had an undefeated streak of 13 fights and after this loss, he blamed excessive drinking before the fight.

Now, as he faced the second consecutive loss of his MMA career against Marvin Vettori, ‘The Italian Dream’ utilized this opportunity to the fullest and shared a video. In the video, Vettori says, “I brought some wine from my beautiful home town and I was gonna give it to Costa.”

“But fu*k it, he doesn’t deserve it and I’m gonna drink it myself,” This is an ultimate insult for Costa. Now it is going to be interesting to see how he’ll respond to this.
