Conor McGregor suffered a disappointing loss in the main event of UFC 264. The Irishman’s quest to exact revenge over Dustin Poirier ended in failure after he suffered an ankle break at the very end of the first round. Poirier ended up winning the fight via. TKO due to a doctor stoppage.

Following his loss, Conor McGregor spared none who came in his path. He also flared up old rivalries- Khabib Nurmagomedov, Nate Diaz and others. He also got himself involved in a nasty back and forth with former UFC stars – Daniel Cormier and Michael Bisping.

Bisping was quoted as saying, “For [Conor], right now, that’s the best way he can deal with losing these fights. I’m not making excuses for him, far from it, because I was at the receiving end of some of his bullsh*t recently as well.

He then offered some advice for McGregor: “But I think for him to still believe — and I don’t have a relationship with him, we used to be somewhat friendly, we don’t talk anymore, so I’m not speaking from experience or anything like that, just speaking in general as a fighter — he has to believe in his mind that fight was competitive.” [via MMA Fighting]

Bisping is currently retired. The former middleweight champion from Manchester, England was inducted into the modern wing of Hall of Fame in the year 2019. He is currently the color commentator for the UFC, and is featured in commentary duties during UFC Fight Nights.

McGregor, on the other hand, is nursing his ankle injury. He is also serving a six-month medical suspension following his loss against Poirier. The Irishman will only be back in the second week of January 2022.
