The UFC Lightweight champion, Charles Oliveira will be defending his title for the first time at UFC 269 against the number one ranked Lightweight fighter, Dustin Poirier. Oliveira won the title by defeating the former Bellator Lightweight champion, Michael Chandler at UFC 262.

After getting dropped down in the first round of the fight, Charles Oliveira won the fight in the second round in a spectacular fashion. Michael Chandler tested Oliveira’s skill inside the Octagon and he believes his reign in the Lightweight division is going to be short-lived as he gave his prediction for his heavily anticipated Lightweight fight.

In his interview with Ariel Helwani for MMA Fighting, Chandler says, “I think Dustin Poirier, I think they’re both complete fighters. I think Oliveira has shown over his last couple of fights, especially the fight against me, his hands have come along.”

“He is basic and he hits hard. He hits harder than we think. His grappling is obviously always been on-point, but I just think Dustin Poirier is a little bit better in every area.” {H/T MMA Fighting}

Oliveira holds the record for longest active win streak in the Lightweight division and Poirier defeated one of the biggest names of the promotion, Conor McGregor twice just before this fight.

This fight is going to be a show for the fight fans around the world and Michael Chandler believes with his adversity and command over every department of MMA, Poirier is going to steal the show at UFC 269.
