On the 24th of March, 2021, Tate announced that she would be making a comeback. This weekend, on the 17th of July, Tate will be taking on Marion Reneau in the co-main event of UFC Fight Night: Makhachev vs Moises.

Who is Johnny Nunez?
Johnny Nunez is a 35-year old MMA fighter who has had stints in the Bellator and ONE Championship. The fighter who trains at Syndicate MMA, out of Las Vegas, Nevada made his MMA debut against Lee Henry Lilly on the 4th of February in 2012. In just 2 years time his record stood at 5 wins and no losses.
After raking up a record of 6 wins and one loss, he was absent from the sport for almost three years. He then made his Bellator debut on the 21st of September in 2018 at Bellator 205. He won the fight via. unanimous decision. Since then he has made just one appearance. His last fight was in the ONE Championship in October 2019, which he lost.
How did Miesha Tate’s husband meet the fighter?
Miesha Tate made her relationship with her husband Johnny Nunez public on the 1st of January, 2018. At that time, it had been almost 16 months since Tate’s retirement. She had previously been in a relationship with fellow MMA fighter Bryan Caraway. She attended Central Washington University, and that was where she met Caraway.
Caraway had quite an impressive UFC record as well. He won 7 of his 10 fights in the promotion. He has a notable win over current bantamweight champion Aljamain Sterling.

Miesha Tate and Johnny Nunez have two kids. Almost six months after making their relationship public, Tate gave birth to her first child, a daughter. They named her Amaia Nevaeh Nunez. She was born on the 4th of June in 2018.
Two years later their second child, a son named Daxton Wylder Nunez was born, on the 14th of June in 2020. Tate had previously announced in December 2019 that she was expecting a child in mid-2021. The couple along with their kids currently reside in Tacoma, Washington.
