Mike Perry, Tyron Woodley and Jake Paul

UFC Welterweight Mike Perry shared his thoughts, as Jake Paul is set to take on Tyron Woodley next. The professional boxing bout will be on the 28th of August, and it will mark the pro-boxing debut of Tyron Woodley. This will be the first time Paul is taking on a legit striker who has phenomenal punching force. Woodley was the welterweight champion in the UFC, and was unstoppable during his heydays.

Mike Perry spoke to the Schmo recently. Perry claimed that Paul has got nerves of steel to take on someone like Woodley. However, he didn’t sound happy about the YouTuber asking Woodley to donate money to his charity if he (Woodley) loses, while not stating the same in case he (Paul) lost.

‘Now that’s a bet, then you are risking your money too‘ – Mike Perry

Mike Perry was quoted as saying, “I think he’s got b****. He does say things like, ‘Oh put your purse up to my charity if you lose, but if you win I’ll double your purse? But, why doesn’t he say, ‘If you win I will give my purse to your charity?’ Now that’s a bet, then you are risking your money too.” [h/t FirstSportz]

Paul and Woodley had their first faceoff yesterday with Barstool Sports CEO Dave Portnoy acting as the matchmaker. Paul looked confident as he kept reminding Woodley that he would finish him, even as Woodley remained calm and kept repeating, “I’ll beat yo ass.”

As for Perry, he last fought Daniel Rodriguez on the 10th of April, earlier this year. He had expressed his desire to move to the middleweight division, after that fight. But right now, he has got his hands full after the birth of his child.
