“So let’s fight” – Nate Diaz accepts callout from Vicente Luque

“So let’s fight” – Nate Diaz accepts callout from Vicente Luque

Nate Diaz and Vicente Luque

Nate Diaz is ready to fight surging welterweight Vicente Luque. Diaz made an entertaining return to UFC, after almost 2 years of being away. At UFC 263, he took on Leon Edwards in the first-ever 5-round non-title match. Despite, Edwards dominating the fight for 24 minutes (out of 25), Diaz almost turned the fight around in the last 60 seconds, by stunning the Brit with a massive strike.

On the other hand, is Vicente Luque, the Brazilian who has been on an unbelievable run in the UFC. Luque is recently coming off a first-round submission win over Michael Chiesa at UFC 265. Following his victory, Luque called out Nate Diaz, in the most passive-aggressive way ever possible.

Luque said, “To me, Nate is a fighter and fighters fight, and I’m the kind of fighter that’s going to put on an exciting fight no matter who it is. So, Nate wants a big fight, I’m not going to sell it by talking, but I’m definitely going to sell it by fighting. He knows and everybody knows.”

Posting the clip of Luque’s callout, Diaz captioned it -“So let’s fight.” ‘The West Coast Gangster’ is not currently ranked in the welterweight division. His two-year layoff didn’t help him as well. However, Diaz never fails to put on a show, and given the entertainer he is, he always gets the big fights.

Luque, on the other hand, hasn’t lost since November 2019 (UFC 244) against Stephen Thompson. He is currently on a four-fight winning streak. It is also worth noting that, Luque has never been knocked out in his MMA career. But, he might be taking a huge risk if he accepts a fight against an unranked Diaz.
