“I’m not fighting Conor”- Nate Diaz calls for a fight, flames the UFC for delaying his return to the cage

Nate Diaz

It’s been a long time since Nate Diaz last entered the octagon. His last fight was against Leon Edwards at UFC 263 in which the fighter lost via unanimous decision. Diaz is currently in his last UFC fight according to his contract and has shown frequent interest in fighting someone. But the UFC has been very inefficient when it comes to giving Diaz his next opponent.

Previously, Diaz’s name was linked with Dustin Poirier but later the fight was closed. After that, there were rumours that he might fight Conor McGregor when he returns but Diaz has expressed he doesn’t want to fight the Irishman.

Diaz is a huge draw and the UFC is really cautious about how to use his popularity to their maximum profit. Maybe that’s the reason they have been holding Diaz for the time being.

It seems like Diaz has finally decided to stop the whole waiting game and his intentions were pretty clear in a new tweet.

Diaz recently went on a rant over UFC by explaining that he’s been putting his best efforts to fight someone so why the promotion is not coming to any conclusions. The Stockton native made it clear that he has no interest in fighting Conor McGregor because he’s currently in bad form. Diaz revealed that he’s ready to fight anyone and the UFC should stop slowing the process of giving him a fight.

“@ufc I been trying to fight everybody and no go what’s the hold up ??? ?
I’m not fighting Conor he sucks. I’ll fight some one quit slow rolling me please Thanks,”
wrote Diaz.

After this tweet was made by Diaz, it didn’t go unnoticed as UFC #5 welterweight Gilbert Burns came out to respond. Burns replied to Diaz by proposing him a fight. ” ??? Fight me Nathan @NateDiaz209,” wrote Burns.

The Brazilian has been quite hasty recently as he has shown his interest in different opponents. Recently Durinho replied to Dustin Poirier on Twitter when ‘The Diamond’ asked for a fight. It seems after the loss against Khamzat Chimaev, Burns just wants to get a win as soon as possible.
