Vicente Luque wants the Nate Diaz fight by all means but there seems to be a delay in booking the fight from the promotion’s side.
Vicente Luque called out UFC superstar Nate Diaz and the Stockton Slugger has accepted to take on the Brazilian in a fight. Since the fighter agreed to Luque’s callout there has been no progression for the fight. Diaz yesterday tweeted saying that there must be confusion on Luque’s side of the agreement.
“I ain’t got a contract. It must be something wrong with Luque,” wrote Nathan Diaz on his Twitter account. Luque did not take too long to reply to the superstar and clarified that he has always been in for the fight and has backed out ever since.
Vicente Luque Nate Diaz offers a fight with no takedowns
Luque replied to Diaz saying, “You know I’m in from day one! I’ve never backed up from a fight and I’m not gonna start now!! We can do it when and where you want I’m ready.” Luque is coming off a stunning win against Michael Chiesa at UFC 265. He submitted Chiesa in the very first round putting him in a great position for a super fight with Diaz.
“I’ll raise my offer we can go as many rounds as you want and let’s make it an all stand-up war no takedowns allowed!” said Luque following up his first tweet. The fans were riled up after this offer and some even suggested there be no doctor stoppages. What a fight that would make!! How badly do you want to see Diaz step in the octagon with Vicente?
