The historic UFC 300 card is taking shape with a lot of feature athletes. 76 days away from the event at the T-Mobile Arena, the card boasts a plethora of fighters. Zhang Wieli, Max Holloway, Justin Gaethje, Jiri Prochazka, Aljamain Sterling, Calvin Kattar, and Arman Tsarukyan are already inclusive. With the lingering topic of who should headline UFC 300, other big names are pitching in as well.

After fighting on UFC 100/UFC 200, veteran Jim Miller recently tagged in his wish for UFC 300. Interim champion Tom Aspinall says he doesn’t oppose Alex Pereira‘s UFC 300 callout. And one could not dismiss Conor McGregor adding to the hype by teasing to headline the historic card, time and again. But a recent tweet has the attention of fans.

A listing was posted on X, by the promotion. After legendary Holly Holm takes on former PFL champion and Olympic medal winner Kayla Harrison and Wieli vs. Yan Xionan, there is yet another. Jessica Andrade takes on Marina Rodriguez, booked for UFC 300.

Unlike Holm vs. Harrison, Weili vs. Xiaonan’s strawweight title fight did not receive much appreciation. Concurrently, with Raquel Pennington‘s latest lackluster win, the fight bubble is not well-acclimating to another such event. A lot have thus voiced their subsequent angst on the matter.

Fight fans react to UFC 300 supposed lineup

Despite a slew of announcements for the UFC’s Tricentennial PPV, the headliner is still under wraps. Top honcho Dana White had promised that fans “can’t handle the main event” announcement.

But on the contrary, he had snubbed the idea of Brock Lesnar, Ronda Rousey, and Georges St-Pierre‘s comeback at UFC 300. With other big names like Islam Makhachev and Dustin Poirier out of the picture, and the champions defending the golds at other cards, fans are at a loss.

Adding fuel to the fire is a recent reveal on X, that shows the ongoing lineup for the historic event. Here’s how a few MMA enthusiasts have reacted to it –

Many have thus sniped at the current state of affairs. However, a few fans have stood by the purport of the lineup.

With additions like Alex Pereira, Leon Edwards, newly minted champion Dricus Du Plessis, and others, the card is yet to take the best shape. A lot of them have even subsequently let their aspirations be known as well.

‘Poatan’ has already teased his 3-division glory aims for the card. Edwards recently divulged UFC 300 title defense talks with White, on his home soil. Additionally, even ‘Stillknocks’ is ready for a UFC 300 turnaround.

However, only time will tell what the promotion’s taskmaster has in store for the MMA community.
