MMA movies have a special place in combat sports fans' heart, as we take a look at some of the best..

MMA Movies (Via Youtube)
MMA is a young sport so it’s understandable why no Oscar-nominated flicks are chronicling the lives of these fighters. For now, most MMA movies are either obscure B-grade flicks or straight-to-DVD pieces.
Somehow, now and then, there comes a movie that does the very best it can to please the viewers of one of the most violent sports on the planet. Unfortunately, we are yet to have a good biographical film about MMA so maybe it’s time Khabib Or Conor started producing some movies about themselves.

Regardless there still are some MMA movies that can leave you floored despite the shoddy filmmaking if you love the sport enough. So here are 5 MMA movies that are a must-watch for all fans.
Greatest MMA Movies of ALL Time
A Prayer Before Dawn
A little bit of cheating to start the list since this film deals with Muay Thai and not MMA but since boxing purists are too uppity to include the Thai Martial Art in their category, we graciously will. It follows the life of a former English boxer, living in Thailand when he’s arrested and taken to one of the most dangerous prisons in Thailand.

There he takes up Muay Thai to avoid being caught up in prison violence and also open up a way to be released sooner after winning a Muay Thai Tournament.
Boyka: Undisputed
The film and everything associated with it may look like a B-grade movie but it is surprisingly good and deals with a tragic topic, the guilt a fighter endures for inflicting damage on the other.

While the entire series is a fun watch for anyone with a love for MMA, this one, in particular, has all the action and intensity to make it a gripping watch and is among the most action-packed MMA movies ever.
Blood and Bone
This movie follows the life of an ex-felon who tries to settle back into society and earn a living for himself by using his Martial Arts skills to win underground fights.

Through a series of unfortunate events he gets caught up in more than he can chew, and now has to fight to preserve everything he loves. Starring Michael Jai White, the movie feels very authentic and is a love letter to Martial Arts and its inescapable roots in the underworld.
Never Back Down
A classic MMA movie, it chronicles the story of the new kid getting beat up by an MMA fighter and eventually training in that very sport to find his redemption.

This was perhaps one of the first MMA-related movies to find any semblance of success.
Warrior
This is perhaps one of the only good movies completely centered around the cage. Starring Tom Hardy, it tells the story of two brothers who compete in a GP-style tournament for a sum of $5 million. Apart from its authentic feels and an ending that will leave you in tears, the movie also features cameos from a dozen MMA stars like Rumble Johnson, Rashad Evans, and even WWE star and Olympian, Kurt Angle.

Tom Hardy, the lead in the film is himself a great fan of the sport and recently came first in a BJJ competition. The film is a true tribute to the sport and will forever stand the test of time as among the best MMA Movies
