Massive heavyweights like Anthony Joshua, Daniel Dubois, Zhilei Zhang, and Tyson Fury are the big names in boxing. On the other hand, Tom Aspinall, Ciryl Gane, and Sergei Pavlovich are the future of the division in the UFC. Now, the UFC has signed Robelis Despaigne, a 6ft 7in Taekwondo medalist in the Olympics.

Despaigne recently knocked out Miles Banks at Fury FC 84. The knockout came in just 6 seconds. Despaigne threw a left-body kick from the southpaw position and then countered Banks’ aggression with a right hook that folded Banks.

The victory was his third consecutive KO victory in 2023. All three fights ended in under 12 seconds. Moreover, Despaigne fought just 21 seconds inside the cage in 2023. He finished Travis Gregoire at Fury FC 80 in just 12 seconds. He followed it up with a 3-second knockout of Stevie Payne at Fury Challenger Series 7.

Francis Ngannou was the scariest puncher in the heavyweight division of the UFC. After Ngannou left the UFC for PFL, Sergei Pavlovich became the scariest puncher in the division. However, Tom Aspinall defeated Pavlovich at UFC 295. Now, with the addition of Despaigne, the UFC has bettered its already stacked heavyweight division.
