UFC CEO Dana White recently announced a women’s bantamweight fight between Holly Holm and Kayla Harrison for UFC 300. Harrison’s signing with the UFC was a surprise move for the fans due to PFL’s recent acquisition of Bellator. Fight fans expected a Kayla Harrison vs Cris Cyborg featherweight bout at PFL. Cyborg was the former featherweight champion of the UFC before her acrimonious split with the promotion.
After the fight announcement of Holm vs Harrison by White via social media, Cyborg commented on the post. This is what the Bellator featherweight champion commented.
Dana…I would love to add #CyborgNunes2 onto the @ufc 300 card too.Cris Cyborg via X
Cyborg’s only loss in the UFC came against Amanda Nunes at UFC 232, where she lost her featherweight title. She wanted a rematch with Nunes, but the UFC had other plans. Moreover, Cyborg even criticized Dana White and even created a fake audio clip. Now, the fight fans troll Cyborg for her recent comment on White’s official X account. Further, she also acted in Jake Paul’s parody of Dana White.
Cyborg wanted to feature on the PFL vs Bellator: Champs card so badly against Kayla Harrison. Unfortunately, Harrison declined the fight. With White’s announcement, it became evident why she declined the fight. Nonetheless, PFL has the opportunity to make Cris Cyborg vs Larissa Pacheco. Pacheco is the only woman to defeat Harrison in professional MMA.
