Reigning UFC heavyweight champion Jon Jones recently crossed paths with none other than Meta CEO, Mark Zuckerberg. It appears that Zuckerberg has been training in jiu-jitsu and occasionally mingling with UFC fighters like Israel Adesanya and Alexander Volkanovski.
Tesla CEO, Elon Musk fueled rumors about a potential cage fight between Zuckerberg and himself. This happened after a heated online exchange between the two tech titans. Jon Jones quickly made his stance clear, publicly expressing support for Zuckerberg in a tweet. Jones declared himself part of “Team Zuck” and offered to assist as a training partner.
Contrary to expectations, the meeting between Jones and Zuckerberg didn’t involve any training. In a series of Instagram photos, the duo was seen bonding over video games, utilizing Meta’s innovative Quest VR headsets. However, the pictures stirred mixed reactions from fans. A considerable number of them were criticizing Jones for socializing with the tech mogul, given his status as a respected UFC legend.
Although it is fairly unclear as to whether or not Elon vs Mark will ever see the light of day. However, both have caused chaos on social media after each posted pictures of training MMA with renowned fighters.
Elon Musk and Mark Zuckerberg’s potential MMA clash
Elon Musk and Mark Zuckerberg’s potential MMA clash has sparked immense curiosity worldwide. Social media exchanges have escalated the situation, leading both parties to enlist elite UFC fighters for training.
However, some fans remain skeptical due to Musk’s suggestion of an unconventional contest and his mother’s disapproval. In his initial training session with Georges St Pierre and Lex Fridman, Musk encountered a reality check. He demonstrated humility by acknowledging his need for more training. “Really fun! The obvious conclusion is that I need a lot more training,” Elon commented under Fridman’s post.
Mark Zuckerberg has been exploring MMA for some time, showcasing his skills with gold and silver medals in a BJJ tournament last year. In contrast, information about Elon Musk’s physical activities was scarce until recently when he trained alongside UFC legend Georges St-Pierre, Lex Fridman, and revered BJJ master John Danaher.
