Alexander Volkanovski has emerged as one of the biggest superstars in recent UFC history. The Australian beat Max Holloway to become the UFC featherweight champion and since then has defended his title four times. Volkanovski can be considered the most dominant champion currently when it comes to the difference in skills between him and his fellow division fighters. Volkanovski has shown from time to time that he is constantly evolving and is untouchable at the moment.
After his last fight with Max Holloway, Volkanovski announced that he wants to move up and fight for the lightweight title. Currently, the fighter is eyeing over the upcoming much-anticipated title fight between Charles Oliveira and Islam Makhachev. The ‘Great’ wants to fight the winner of this fight and is training to fill in if one of them decides to pull out from the fight.
Things got even better for Volkanovski when Leon Edwards beat Kamaru Usman at UFC 278. This put Volkanovski at the top spot of the UFC men pound-for-pound list. Volkanovski is a true champion and deserves all the respect from the fans and followers of the sport.

Alexander Volkanovski seems to have enjoyed his time other than the training camp and meeting famous celebrities. Recently in one of his official Instagram posts, Volkanovski posted a short clip of him along with NBA legend, Shaquille O’Neal.
In the video, Alexander can be seen posing with Shaq for some pictures and both looked extremely happy meeting each other. However, Volkanovski being a short individual, the height difference was clearly visible. The pound-for-pound number one fighter was well aware of that and made a joke on himself.
“Why I shouldn’t hang with basketball players.” wrote Volkanovski implying the enormous size of Shaq.
Despite being a killer inside the octagon, Volkanovski is an extremely chill individual outside. The fighter likes to show respect to others and make cooking videos on YouTube. Similarly, Shaq was a dominant force of nature during his prime days but outside everybody knows he is the greatest jokester. Clearly, this is a great pair and fans absolutely loved this small interaction.
