Kamaru Usman, who is one of the most dominant fighters in UFC history has finally suffered his first loss in the promotion. Usman was looking unstoppable however, last weekend the ‘Nigerian Nightmare’ got dropped by Leon Edwards. The Brit was losing the five-round fight on the point table but landed a vicious Kick in the last minute of the fight and shocked the world.

The fight is definitely one of the biggest upsets in recent times as very few thought Edwards can beat Usman. After that defeat, many thought Usman would go away from the press and social media in order to recover. However, the pound-for-pound number one fighter took the loss like a champ.

“It was a great shot, I’m talking Hail Mary in the Super Bowl,” Usman said in a recent interview with TMZ.” Do you know how many people I’ve done that to? It happened, and that’s the beautiful thing about this sport — that happens, but we forget what was actually taking place in that fight. I’m not down at all. It’s almost like everyone is more sad about it than I am. Everyone else is more emotional than I am. To me, that lets me know that people care, that people are invested.”
