“This gets me excited” – Aljamain Sterling gets hyped for fight against TJ Dillashaw after fan posts compilation of the former champion
TJ Dillashaw- Aljamain Sterling
Aljamain Sterling might have been a little skeptical about his upcoming title fight against TJ Dillashaw for the undisputed bantamweight title but the reigning champion is getting more motivated by the day. So much so that Sterling reshares a fan-made compilation of Dillashaw.
Aljamain Sterling proved all his doubters wrong in his previous bout at UFC 273. The bantamweight champion won his precious belt in the most uneventful way possible. The fighter became the first champion to earn the title via disqualification. Sterling was mocked and trolled for parading the “underserved” belt. The fighter however turned the tables around with his dominant victory against his biggest rival, Petr Yan at UFC 273.
After his fight against Yan, Sterling already called out the fighter he wanted to defend his belt against. TJ Dillashaw, the former bantamweight division champion was sitting octagon side at UFC 273 when he got called out for a title fight. This fight has a lot of hype among the fans and now the “Funkmaster” himself. Aljo is a very active social media user and has a lot of fan interactions. Recently he reposted a fan-made TJ compilation.
Haters act as fuel for Aljamain Sterling during training camp
Sterling and Dillashaw’s fight had been reported to be held on the Chimaev vs Diaz card at UFC 279. However, the fight seems to be talks that Sterling and Dillashaw will headline UFC 280 alongside the lightweight title fight between Islam Makhachev and Charles Oliveira. However with talks about the fight being moved to the previous PPV card, Sterling posted a tweet, “Let’s shut another one up!”
A fan in an attempt to mock the reigning camp, posted compilations of the former champ, TJ “shutting” his opponents inside the octagon. It seems like the taunt backfired as Sterling looks at this as anything but a taunt. “This gets me excited” wrote Sterling.
Sterling also has been bashing TJ for his past of steroid abuse. TJ had to vacate his bantamweight title after his suspension. TJ came back in the year 2021 and got an amazing win against Cory Sandhagen to put himself right into contention for the bantamweight title.
