Aljamain Sterling and Petr Yan in Abu Dhabi
This meeting was almost inevitable! There was no way Aljamain Sterling and Petr Yan would get through the exciting UFC 280 PPV event without running into each other!
UFC has put together a phenomenal card for the fans with UFC 280. This is undoubtedly one of the most stacked pay-per-view events in the history of the promotion. On this card, we have several big names fighting. Aljamain Sterling and Petr Yan, two of the 135-pound division’s finest fighters are also part of this epic fight card.
This event takes place on October 22nd in Abu Dhabi at the Etihad Arena. Sterling and Yan are coming off one of the most exciting rematches in the bantamweight division at UFC 273. The two have met each other twice and Sterling is 2-0 in this rivalry.
Despite all the hostilities between each other in the past, the two surprisingly show respect to each other when faced in real life, recently in Abu Dhabi. Both the bantamweights have touched down in Abu Dhabi and bumped into each other. Check out the interaction between the two fighters. This might well be the seed for a potential trilogy between the two.
