Andrew Tate has reintroduced himself as a multi-millionaire influencer to the world in recent times. However, before his lavish lifestyle, the “Top G” was a professional kickboxer, unhappy with his wages from the sport. Tate in a podcast spoke about the struggles of a fighter and how Dana White dealt with UFC fighter pay controversy.
After the pandemic, many fighters came out in protest for better fighter treatment. Dana White, the UFC president was very adamant about not changing any of his pre-existing UFC plans for fighter pay. Jon Jones, Francis Ngannou, Paulo Costa, and many other fighters lent their voice to better fighter treatment.
Andrew Tate on the “CEOCast” podcast interview spoke about Dana White “robbing his fighters”. “Everyone says Dana White should pay them more, but see how liquid the UFC is. Even during COVID, when every other organization couldn’t function and shut down, he managed to keep the shows running,” said Tate on the podcast.
“Maybe he does rob the fighters but I don’t know. But he’s an excellent businessman and he’s provided a platform for people,” added Tate in the interview. The former kickboxer suggests fighting is a terrible career path to choose given the unpredictable outcomes. He goes on to reveal, he always searched for different outcomes during his kickboxing days.

Here’s why Dana White won’t increase fighter pay
White has been pestered about the UFC fighter pay issue several times but the UFC President has not budged once. Even when the biggest of superstars rallied against the UFC pay structure, Dana White was more than happy to let them out. In a past GQ interview, a fan question triggered a brutally honest answer from the UFC boss.
“Fighters always want to make more money. Boxing has absolutely been destroyed because of money and all the things that go on. It’s never gonna happen while I’m here. Believe me, these guys get paid what they’re supposed to get paid. They eat what they kill,” said White in the GQ interview.
The UFC President also openly challenged anyone to start their own MMA promotion and run it by their terms. According to White, the business he’s built is one of a kind and is successful because it runs on his terms. What are your thoughts on the Boston native’s take on fighter pay?
