UFC continues hosting Fight Nights at UFC Apex for March and April 2024, following successful pandemic-era events at Yas Island and Las Vegas.

The UFC was the first sports league to resume business during the pandemic era. Dana White, the UFC CEO, faced criticism for his eagerness to do business during the pandemic. However, in hindsight, White received the applause of many in the sports community. Yas Island in UAE and Las Vegas were the two locations where the promotion held events during the time.
In Yas Island, du Forum was the venue for the fights, whereas it was the UFC Apex in Las Vegas. Post the pandemic, the Apex continues to host Fight Night events. The UFC has requested fight permits for Fight Nights in March and April of 2024. MMA Junkie’s Nolan King announced the plans of the UFC on his X, and fans were not too excited to hear about it.
The UFC Apex was a boon during the pandemic. Stipe Miocic, Daniel Cormier, Francis Ngannou, Kamaru Usman, Amanda Nunes, Gilbert Burns, Deiveson Figueiredo, and Brandon Moreno, among others, headlined PPVs a the UFC Apex.
However, its limited seating capacity is a negative, which fans find disappointing. Moreover, many fighters find it discouraging to fight without a crowd. On the other hand, some fighters like the calmness and serenity of the UFC Apex.
In a recent interview, Dana White said that the UFC will look to do more Fight Nights on the road in 2024. The Apex offers the promotion logistical advantages that arenas do not offer. Nevertheless, fight fans can hope there will be fewer events at the Apex in 2024 compared to previous years.
