Better call Gordon Ryan! BJJ practitioner offers to join Conor McGregor and Michael Chandler in the new season of TUF
Jiu-Jitsu GOAT, Gordon Ryan extended an offer to coach grappling in the new season of UFC's The Ultimate Fighter featuring Conor McGregor and Michael Chandler.

The latest season of UFC’s The Ultimate Fighter will feature lightweights, Conor McGregor and Michael Chandler as the two opposing coaches. The announcement was made by UFC boss, Dana White on Friday amid speculation of McGregor’s return. In a latest Instagram post, Jiu-Jitsu practitioner, Gordon Ryan offered to help as a Jiu-Jitsu coach.
“Wonder if someone needs a Jiu-Jitsu coach,” Ryan wrote in the caption. Gordon Ryan is a submission grappler and first-degree black belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. His accolades and his achievements in the sport have solidified him as the greatest no-gi grappler of all time. Ryan is also a five-time ADCC World Champion, two-time IBJJF No-Gi World champion, and a four-time Eddie Bravo Invitational champion.
The MMA community has been buzzing with excitement lately after a long list of interesting fights were lined up by the UFC. Conor McGregor vs Michael Chandler stands at the top of this list after the two fighters were chosen as coaches for the new season of TUF.
The Ultimate Fighter will air from May 30 to August 15. McGregor vs Chandler will take place in the very next PPV event. Gordon Ryan is now among many other possible coaches to feature in the show. The BJJ practitioner had been speculated to transition to MMA but later revealed that he has no plans for the same as of now.

Conor McGregor needs 6 months under the USADA testing pool to compete again in the UFC
During his long-term recovery after a brutal leg break at UFC 264, Conor McGregor was dropped from the USADA anti-drug testing pool in 2022. Following recent announcements of his return, McGregor would have to be enlisted in the pool once again.
According to USADA’s anti-drug testing mandate, an athlete must spend a minimum of six months under the testing pool to start competing. This means that the expected return might shift from late August to October this year if McGregor does not enter the pool ASAP.
The Irishman will be returning to coach in The Ultimate Fighter (TUF) against fellow lightweight, Michael Chandler. The former two-division champ is coming off a loss to Dusting Poirier at UFC 264 via KO/TKO in 2021. The same goes for Chandler who is returning after his recent loss to Poirier via submission at UFC 281.
Although McGregor’s return is highly anticipated, the fighter’s recent physique updates have confused fans. A lot of fans have accused McGregor of using performance enhancers for faster recovery. Conor McGregor’s bulked-up physique has, in fact, created speculations around his weight class. Fellow UFC fighters like Jorge Masvidal and Anthony Smith have also speculated about steroid use by McGregor.
