Elon Musk’s Tesla has created a revolution in electric cars. Apart from being efficient, the car is also exceptionally quick. As such, speaking on The Joe Rogan Experience #147, bantamweight champion Sean O’Malley talked about fast cars. Especially on how fast Tesla’s Model X Plaid happens to be. On several occasions, Musk has even responded to Joe Rogan inquiring about the car’s potential.
“I taught my 15-year-old how to drive in that. It’s always on Ludicrous Mode. It’s easy to control,” said Rogan. “That’s the difference between that and other high-powered cars. You can drive very slowly in that easily. It’s like the perfect car to drive around. For a commuter car, it’s the best car ever… You just plug it in at your house. You never have to go to a gas station.”
In the show, O’Malley said that he was pulled over in his Tesla X Plaid due to its speed. He said that the car has a pseudo speed that feels especially lower when one drives. Responding to this claim, Joe Rogan replied that he was faster in a Plaid than in his Porsche. Ludicrous Mode is a 2016 acceleration bump by Tesla for an ultimate drive experience. Accordingly, Musk himself tweeted with a wordplay on “ludicrous” and Plaid.
Rogan and Musk have been acquaintances for a while now. This is evident by the fact that Musk has appeared on the show several times. Moreover, they have often talked about the car and all its capabilities. In fact, Rogan bought his first Tesla after Musk recommended it on the podcast.
