Brendan Allen wants to fight Sean Strickland after he is done with Chris Curtis at UFC Vegas 90. Allen wants a title fight but he also wants to avenge his first loss against Strickland. Here is what happened:

Brendan Allen recently did an interview with The Schmo. During the interview, Allen revealed that he is aiming for a rematch against Sean Strickland after UFC Vegas 90.

Man, you never know, the way the division is, the way the landscape is, it's hard to tell but hopefully... I can get Sean after this. He seems to be the last one available. So yeah, If I can't get the champion then Sean is hopefully what I'm after.

Brendan Allen said Strickland is the only one who seems to be available. Therefore, he wants a rematch with ‘Tarzan’ if he cannot get a title shot against Dricus Du Plessis. Allen and Strickland first faced off at UFC Vegas 14 back in 2020 and the fight ended in two rounds with a technical knockout. Allen has been pushing for a rematch ever since and with no fight for Strickland in sight, Allen might finally get his rematch.

Meanwhile, the former middleweight champion wants a rematch of his own but against Dricus Du Plessis. Strickland lost the middleweight title to Du Plessis at UFC 297. He demanded an immediate rematch but reportedly Du Plessis will be fighting Israel Adesanya instead. Allen pointed this out saying that it was unusual for Adesanya to get a title fight coming off of a loss. But he attributed it to Adesanya’s ability to sell fights and said the fight was more business than a skill-based event.

Brendan Allen has everything to lose in a rematch against Chris Curtis

Allen recently did an interview with TNT Sports ahead of his upcoming fight at UFC Vegas 90. Curtis and Allen fought back in 2021, with the latter losing the bout. But he plans to change it this time and says he feels the pressure.

Allen told TNT Sports that he had taken the previous fight on short notice and Curtis took advantage of that and won the fight. Although he has had more time to prepare this time, Allen found a lot of things to be similar to their previous encounter. The middleweight said it was the same situation where he ranked above Curtis and had everything to lose, while Curtis had nothing to lose. Now they are in the exact same situation again.

However, Allen is confident that he will deal with it. He said he is overall very prepared and excited to test himself against Curtis. Will Brendan Allen win against Chris Curtis this time? Will he be able to secure a rematch with Sean Strickland next? Only time will tell.

In case you missed it!
