Brian Ortega on Shia LaBeouf

Brendan Schaub and Brian Ortega discuss Shia LaBeouf’s insane behavior on the set of their film, The Tax Collector, a 2020 American action thriller film written, directed, and produced by David Ayer.

Brendan Schaub, dubbed ‘Thiccc Boy,’ had Brian Ortega, along with the Calabasas Fight Companion on his show, where they traded Hollywood celeb dirt. Brian and Brendan reveal how the former didn’t really hit it off with LaBeouf on the set of The Tax Collector.

According to them, Shia wasn’t really the best cast member as he went method on set, immersing himself in the role which meant that he was very rude while shooting the movie. Apparently, Shia even attacked a person who played the character of a rival gang member in the movie, however, the two started to fight off camera. This meant that Shia and the ‘rival gangster’ would get into staring contests while on set and special care had to be taken to keep the two separate. This behavior got on the nerves of everyone on set.

Eventually, it culminated in Shia trying to get into a fight with Brian. Shia was so aggressive that after a long day of shooting, he started to trash talk, leading to Brian slamming Shia into a table. Apparently, he tried to fight, hitting another set member in the face, but it all ended as Shia got choked out.

It looks like Shia might have been trying out the tough guy routine on the wrong day. Hopefully, this interaction won’t affect Brian’s acting career in any way.

Ortega talking about his LaBeouf interaction has brought a lot of attention to the incident, with comedian Bert Kreischer talking about it on the Joe Rogan Experience. He seemed to be more impressed with Brian than the fight itself though, as Brian’s storytelling ability far surpassed any normal fighters.

He said, “I did a deep dig on Ortega. He was on Schaub’s Calabasas companion. And probably one of the most interesting human beings I’ve heard talk. He is an actor and just does not come out as an actor…. Brian Ortega was in a movie with Shia LaBeouf.

Brian Ortega was in this movie with Shia LaBeouf and he told this crazy story about Shia trying to fight him… Ortega, the way he was telling the story, was legit good storytelling,” Bert goes on to tell.
