Chael Sonnen- Conor McGregor
As an experienced speaker in the field of fight business, Chael Sonnen might’ve assessed something from Conor McGregor’s contemporary career that even the Irish UFC megastar didn’t notice himself. McGregor is a former simultaneous 2-division UFC champion who was the first UFC fighter to achieve such status and was also the first UFC champion coming out of Ireland. Today, McGregor is a successful businessman and an aspiring actor.
But regardless, McGregor always teases that his love for fighting isn’t over yet and might return to the UFC octagon sometime in near future. McGregor was last seen inside the Octagon back in July 2021 at UFC 264 when he lost his trilogy to Dustin Poirier due to a fractured shin bone that resulted in a doctor stoppage after the first round. McGregor has expressed his desire time and again that when he is ready to fight, he might return to challenge for the UFC welterweight title.
Chael Sonnen believes what he is assessing about Conor McGregor is true and mean
In one of the videos on his Youtube channel, MMA Legend Chael Sonnen talked about how good of a competitive athlete is former UFC lightweight champion Rafael Dos Anjos and how the Brazilian’s career steers in the near future. In the midst of all, Sonnen talked about McGregor’s position as a UFC fighter and Sonnen’s assessment might shock you.
“Conor McGregor’s championship run is over,” says Sonnen. “That’s true. That’s mean. And Conor did not come out and tell you guys because he’s not aware of it,” concludes Sonnen.
