UFC 300 is just a few days away now, and the anticipation building over the months will finally culminate this weekend. The headliner for this event will feature Alex Pereira and Jamahal Hill with the light heavyweight belt on the line. Brazilian fighter Charles Oliveira had some words of warning for Jamahal Hill. 

Oliveira is set to return to the octagon himself at the landmark event. He weighed in on the highly anticipated main event clash. It seems “Do Bronx” isn’t convinced Hill’s strategy of standing and trading with ‘Poatan’ was the wisest approach. 

Man, Jamahal Hill deserves all the respect in the world. He's super tough and hits hard, but everyone that comes in to trade with 'Poatan' on the feet will get folded. 'Poatan' is tough and hits hard…You have to be careful with that, but I'm sure 'Poatan' will knock him out.

The Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu ace clearly has a high opinion of Pereira’s striking prowess. It’s clear that Charles Oliveira has a deep respect for Pereira’s abilities, particularly his fearsome striking. Moreover, he urged Hill to be cautious if he planned to engage in a standup battle with the champion.

It is important to note that Hill has great striking skills but might not have the same knockout power as Poatan. As for Oliveira, the Brazilian grappling ace will be looking to make his own statement at UFC 300. He’ll have to get past the dangerous Arman Tsarukyan to receive a future shot at the lightweight title.

Charles Oliveira is feeling the love ahead of UFC 300. The historic event will host multiple championship fights as well as No. 1 contender bouts. The former lightweight champion was thrilled at the opportunity to compete on the stacked pay-per-view card. However, he’s especially excited to share the spotlight with his friend and fellow Brazilian, light heavyweight king Alex Pereira.

Oliviera was asked about his opinion on Alex Pereira fighting on the same card. He expressed happiness to share the fight card with Pereira. The Brazilian duo had trained side-by-side at the esteemed Chute Boxe Academy.

There's so many Brazilians on this, and for us to actually be in that event, both of us be in the event at the same time, very happy for 'Poatan' to be in the main event.

It’s no surprise Oliveira is excited to see his buddy Pereira headlining the historic UFC 300 event. After all, the two Brazilians had been through a lot together. They were friends even before their careers began in the UFC. Both came from humble beginnings in Brazil and rose to the top of their respective divisions in the UFC.
