In an interview on Thursday, former UFC Lightweight Champion, Charles Oliveira teased a possible comeback in May. Alongside him, was featherweight legend, Jose Aldo who was also asked to pick Conor’s best matchup for a comeback fight between Charles Oliveira and Rafael Dos Anjos.

Former Featherweight Champion, Jose Aldo picked the ‘Poatan,’ Alex Pereira over Israel Adesanya as the winner in a rematch. Aldo also acknowledged Charles Oliveira’s momentum in his UFC career and possible upcoming bouts.

After his victory against Dustin Poirier at UFC 269, Former UFC Lightweight Champion, Charles Oliveira called out Conor McGregor in his post-fight interview to avenge Jose Aldo’s K.O. loss in 2015. “Hey, Conor McGregor. Are you coming up or are you going to run away?” the Brazillian said.

To this, the former two-division champion responded, to this via Tweet which has since been deleted. “I’m not sure I wish to cut the weight. I am really enjoying being built like a refrigerator. I feel I want to fight at this size,” the Irishman said. “But I’d love to fight the Brazilian, 100%! I love Brazil and I’m unbeaten against Brazil. All KO’s. I’ve some thinking to do,” McGregor added.

On being asked to pick between Oliveira and RDA for McGregor’s comeback fight, the featherweight legend replied, “I think, right now. Charles, right? He’s the one in MMA that’s got all that momentum, right? (McGregor’s) huge and all. 185lbs. USADA isn’t knocking on his door, right ?

Charles Oliveira talks about being open to fighting Conor McGregor if he returns

On Thursday, former UFC Lightweight Champion, Charles Oliveira revealed that he would definitely take the fight against Conor McGregor if UFC offered him one. Charles Oliveira (33-9) is coming off a loss by submission to Islam Makachev at UFC 280 Abu Dhabi.

Ah dude, I think no one here is a fool. Everyone knows we wanna fight him,” Oliveira said. “…because he is gonna give me a lot of money, gonna make things happen,” Charles continued. “I’ve asked for this fight a bunch of times before and he doesn’t say anything. So the day he is ready to fight, I will be ready to fight. Till then, I’m not going to call him out anymore.”

Conor McGregor’s opponent in his return fight has been the point of speculation for MMA junkies. The fighter has been inactive and in recovery since his tragic loss via KO/TKO to Dustin Poirier at UFC 264 after a horrific leg break. Charles Oliveira since then has called out Conor McGregor several times.
