In the video, Charles Oliveira was seen speaking about Jose Aldo in Brazilian which has been translated by McKenzie Nelbert on Twitter. According to the post, Charles said, “if anything happens, anything you need in Rio, just call Aldo and he’ll take care of it.” Even Charles himself has responded to the post commenting, “Exactly” to approve the post. Fans of both fighters have found the moment to be wholesome.

Jose Aldo retired from MMA in 2022 after an eighteen years long career. Since then he has expressed his desire to compete in a Boxing ring. The veteran fighter will be making his debut against Argentinian boxer Emmanuel Zambrano on the 10th of February.

Charles Oliveira is looking to earn a rematch against the lightweight champion Islam Makhachev after failing to defeat him at UFC 280. Do Bronx is most probably one win away from bouncing back in the title picture and might be competing against Beneil Dariush to decide the number one contender for the Lightweight championship.

Charles Oliveira was stripped of his Lightweight championship after failing to make weight for his championship match against Justin Gaethje. Coming into UFC 280 for his match against Islam Makhachev the Brazilian was deemed as the underdog. However, Jose Aldo believed in his fellow countrymen and backed Oliveira to win at the top.

While speaking to a Brazilian media outlet Jose said: “He is a guy that rises from the ashes and wins the fight…He is a guy that I root for, I have seen him change and gain the maturation of a champion over time. He is mentally strong today and motivated. He is aggressive when he has the opportunity to finish him If I were to bet my money, I will bet on Charles”

Although Charles Oliveira failed to recapture the lightweight title at UFC 280 Jose Aldo’s support for Charles shows how much respect he has for his fellow Brazilian fighter. Even Charles holds Jose Aldo in high regard and idolizes the veteran fighter.
