Covington’s trash talk to Leon Edwards crossed the line when he referenced Edwards’ father. This is what Covington said.

Edwards had a troubled childhood. His father was murdered when he was just thirteen. When Covington referenced his father, Edwards threw the mic at his opponent. Securities entered the stage and separated Edwards from Covington. The MMA community harshly criticized Covington’s trash talk. Nevertheless, it has set the stage for an exciting UFC 296 main event.
