Conor McGregor is unrivaled when it comes to publicity and marketing matches. The bulk of the highest-grossing pay-per-views in historical promotion had The Notorious One as its star attraction. McGregor recently made a comment regarding an upcoming showdown between the current UFC featherweight and lightweight champions. At UFC 280, Islam Makhachev won the vacant lightweight title and called out Alexandre Volkanovski for his first title defense.

Makhachev demanded that Volkanovski’s No. 1 pound-for-pound ranking and his lightweight title be on the line in Australia the following year. Conor McGregor attacked Volkanovski and Makhachev’s capacity to generate revenue from pay-per-views on Twitter. He shared a picture of the two winners along with the caption: “My two old belts. On two little ticks. This fight does 10 buys.”

Responding to Conor McGregor, the featherweight champion posted one of McGregor’s old posts.

Since his fight with Dustin Poirier at UFC 264 last year, Conor McGregor has been dealing with a broken leg that he is presently rehabilitating. He is anticipated to make his comeback to the Octagen next year.

After Volkanovski responded to the tweet, Conor McGregor tried to clear things out and said that he is happy about Volkanovski’s success. The Irish man also mentioned about his return inside the octagon by saying that he will be back soon.

Just watching and monitoring mate. That’s all. Happy for you in the spot tbh. I’ll be back. This is not over. You know.” Wrote McGregor. Volkanovski quickly responded saying: “Respect brother. Will be happy to welcome you back.”

It is certainly a delight to see the two biggest stars of the UFC getting along and avoiding any dispute. However, the conversation between Volkanovski and Conor Mcgregor didn’t end there as “The Irishman” went on to write: “And we dance on. Good. I was in your exact spot one time don’t forget. 145 coming up. Good luck. I’d say go heavier. Rugby days. Be a bowling ball. That’s how I’d do it as you. Your condition right now as i see it, I don’t know. But bowling ball style for you for best chance.”
